VETERAN’S PARK MURAL
THE MEANING:
Our local VFW Post 1579 met with the Art Walk Director to discuss important symbolism and meaningful items for veterans and service members in our community. Items discussed at that meeting were integrated into the design of this mural to honor those who have served our country, as well as substantial research done by the artist to honor veterans and the branches of our military. They included:
Yellow Ribbon | Peace Doves | Combat Canine | Cross of Malta | Honor Brass Shells | Poppies | Green Horse | Dragonflies | Marlboro Reds | Coin Stacks | Letters | Playing Cards | Bug Juice
If you are struggling and need emotional support, please call the Crisis Hotline at 9-8-8. You matter and you are loved.
