THE ARTIST:

Autumn Toennis is a writer and artist from Miles City, Montana. She holds a degree in English Writing from MSU Bozeman and works as a book editor for Europa Editions. THE BUILDING:

Dustin and Hannah Strong started Otium in the spring of 2021 with the vision of reclaiming authentic leisure and vibrant community in Eastern Montana.  With the belief that a slow and simple life is the key to true happiness and that a space that is inviting to young, old, and in between encourages great conversations and lasting friendships, they created a taproom that fosters just that!  You won’t find any TVs inside, but you will find plenty of board games, reading material, and vinyl for the turntable.  You’ll also find beer, wine, cider, and soda made from Montana grown ingredients because they also believe that our state produces exceptional ingredients for exceptional craft beverages and keeping it local is another important part of crafting the good life.  Come inside and check it out!
